Questing Guide

Questing is meant as a way to help you level up and introduce you to some of the features of GoPets. This guide will explain the basics of Questing.

Basics:

To start Questing, you'll need to find one of the quest pets. Quest pets for new users are on QuestMaster01 lands. There is one located at x242, y358. Once you have completed the Tutorial Quests, there are more quests in Alex's Village at x236, y359. You can get to Alex's Village using the GoLand Map that can be found by clicking the House icon at the bottom of the client. You cannot use Jumpstones to get there. More coordinates for Quest Pets are at the bottom of this Guide.

Once you have located one of them, you'll need to click on him to receive your Quest Scroll. You'll know he's ready to give you a Quest by the exclamation point above his head.

The name of the Quest is located at the top of the scroll.

Below the Quest Name is detailed information about what you will need to do to complete it.

Below that is the Quest Reward Information, including Experience, Shells and any items.

You can choose to Accept or Refuse the Quest by clicking either of the buttons near the bottom.

Upon Accepting the available Quests, the sign above him will change to a question mark. This is to indicate that he doesn't have anymore Quests for you at this time, and/or that you haven't completed the one(s) that he has given to you.

The Quest(s) you have accepted will be in your Quest Log. If you have just accepted a Quest, your Quest Log button may also be flashing to indicate this.

Open up your Quest Log by clicking the button.

Click on the Quest you're interested in to view more information about it.

The selected Quest will be highlighted in yellow. Just like when you were given the Quest, you can review the information here. The option to 'Give Up' is also available if you no longer want to do the selected Quest.

Once you Give Up a Quest, it cannot be received again.

Once you've completed the Quest, you will need to click on the Quest pet again. This is so that you can turn in your Quest. After you have clicked on the Quest pet, he will present you with a Completed Quest Scroll.

Then you need to click on the Complete button to receive your Quest Reward.

You'll notice that the sign above his head changes one more time when you've completed one of his Quests. It changes back to an exclamation point. Now you can do another quest.

Quests Levels 1-3

Tutorial Quests

These quests can be found at coordinates x254, y258. Some of these quests are in your inventory and you will need to use them from your inventory. Other quests will ask you to purchase items from the Welcome Mat and feed them to your pet. If they say to purchase them, then they must be purchased from the source mentioned, they cannot come from another source.

Feed your pet Water. This is in your Inventory.

Rewards: 3 Experience Points, 5 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase Chicken Breast Snack from the Welcome Mat and feed to your pet.

Rewards: 20 Experience Points, 30 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Feed your pet Pet Food. This is in your Inventory.

Rewards: 3 Experience Points, 5 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase Baked Eel from the land next to the land the quest is received on. There is a sign to indicate the way.

Rewards: 30 Experience Points, 50 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase Pizza from the Welcome Mat and feed to your pet.

Rewards: Experience Points, Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase Coffee from the Welcome Mat and feed to your pet.

Rewards: 60 Experience Points, 50 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase Milk from the Welcome Mat and feed to your pet.

Rewards: 50 Experience, Points 50 Green Shells, Green Tea Fortune Cookie

Purchase a Balloon from the Welcome Mat and give it to your pet.

Rewards: 70 Experience Points, 50 Green Shells, Basketball

Grow an apple! Jump to the land next to the land the quest is received on. There is a sign to indicate the way. This quest requires patience, as there is a length of time you must wait. You will need to wait for the apples to form on the trees. Once the apples appear on the trees, there is another wait time until they drop from the trees. Once they drop to the ground, you can pick the apples by clicking on them and dragging them. Once the apples move back to where they fell, you can then put them in your inventory by clicking on the apple. Then you need to drag the apple out of your inventory to feed it to your pet.

While you are waiting, try doing the next quest that the Quest Pet has for you.

Rewards: 80 Experience Points, 50 Green Shells, Learn Cooking- How to Make Apple Juice

Learn to Fish! You can catch some fish for your pet to eat later or use them to trade for other things you want. Read How to Fish to your pet. Once you have read the book to your pet, you will receive the poles. You can then read the book to your pet by clicking on the book and choosing Use. Then click on the Fishing Pole that matches your pet's species and choose Use. Now you can fish in the pond while you wait on the apples to grow!

Remember, each pet can only learn one Craft. Each account can only have the Craft learned one time. You will need to Unlearn Fishing if you choose to be a Farmer, Cook or to learn Sewing. If you Unlearn a skill and decide to re-learn it, you will need to purchase ALL books for that skill and re-level that skill again.

Quests Levels 4-10

For these quests, you will be visiting other lands. You will need to use Jumpstones to get to the land next to the one you are on at the time. However, all lands do not have Jumpstones on all 4 sides, similar to a maze. If you jump to a land that does not have a Jumpstone to the land you need, retrace your steps and try getting there from a different land. When jumping lands, remember to check the land you are on and the direction you are going by using the GoLand Map. GoLand Map can be accessed by clicking on the House icon at the bottom of your screen and choosing GoLand Map.

To use a Jumpstone, left-click on it and then click Jump.

Quest List by Level

Level 4

Welcome To The Quest Zone

You need to talk to the Village Chief in Alex's Village (x236, y359). Using the GoLand Map, jump to x236, y359. You may need to click on him twice to complete the quest.

Rewards: 30 Experience Points, Old Combat Sword (Cat), Old Combat Sword (Dog), Old Combat Sword (Panda)

Find that Carrier

Talk with a lost carrier. He is waiting for you in the Plains. Eastern Plains x237, y359. You will complete this quest when you talk to the Lost Carrier. No need to go back to Alex's Village to click on the Village Chief.

I Need Those Ingredients

Please give 2 Oranges and 2 bowls of Water to Cooker Mary who is waiting for you at Shopping Street (x239, y357). You get the Oranges from The Farm at (x236, y357). To pick the fruit, you will need to wait until fruit appears on the ground and then drop your pet next to the fruit. Your pet will pick the fruit on it's own. You will want to watch this because of the super cute animation!

Give 5 Peaches to Farmer Tiera who lives on The Farm (x236, y357). As with the Oranges, you will need to wait until fruit appears on the ground and then drop your pet next to the fruit. Your pet will pick the fruit on it's own. You will want to watch this because of the super cute animation!

Hints/Tips

You may have to repeat the quest a couple of times before it lets you complete it.

If you have finished the quest but the question mark remains and he refuses to let you turn it in, try logging out/in.

If there are no exclamation points on any of the quest pets, on any of the lands, you may need to level up your pet.

If you have accepted multiple quests, they must be completed starting with the bottom one.

When gathering quest items, if you cannot turn in the item, try recycling the items & picking them up again.

It may be quicker to finish a quest if you jump to Alex's land using the GoLand Map and then use Jumpstones to go where you need to be at. Check the GoLand Map first.
