Sudoku
The Object of the Game
The object of Sudoku is to fill in all the empty squares with the correct numbers:
- Every 3x3 square must contain all the numbers 1 through 9
- Every row must contain all the numbers 1 through 9
- Every column must contain all the numbers 1 through 9
1 through 9 may appear only once in a single column, row or 3x3 square.
Every square filled in makes it easier to finish your puzzle! Sudoku can be quite an addicting pasttime.
*Note: After GoPets Sudoku is purchased from the Starcade, the game may be played as many times as wanted. No prize shells are awarded for winning.
How to Play Sudoku
Completing a Sudoku puzzle successfully requires some deduction and reasoning, as well as sometimes trial and error. Choosing an Easy game, less squares will be blank, meaning that it is easier to figure out which numbers are missing. With a Hard game, more squares will be blank, which will require more trial and error to finish the puzzle.

Solution Tips
- When first starting a puzzle, scan rows, columns and 3x3 squares that have only one or two boxes open, and fill in those numbers first.
- As you work through the puzzle, you might like to try working all columns first, for example.
- On a paper puzzle, you can pencil in little numbers in the square that could be possibilities. With GoPets Sudoku, you might like to use a pencil and paper on the harder puzzles to notate possibilities in particular squares.
